How To Use Waterfall D-Mannose

While you are waiting for your Waterfall D-Mannose to arrive, here are some suggestions for things that may help ease the symptoms meanwhile. Personally, we have tried all of these, before the time of Waterfall D-Mannose, and they never successfully cleared an infection, but did help ease things off a bit sometimes.

You might have to experiment to find out what works best for you. And remember that herbs can be as powerful as drugs - always ask your doctor for advice before embarking on any new treatment. Herbs should be used with caution.

Suggested use is as a tea made from sufficient of herb in a cup of hot water; or as a tincture. If it's capsules you get, you can empty them into an ordinary cup of tea also. It's been suggested that it's best to use three capsules per time.

Uva Ursi — Traditionally used as an antiseptic with soothing properties.

Goldenseal root — Said to act as a powerful natural antibiotic, so may upset your digestion, but worth a try.

Cleavers (Galium Aparine) — An old herbalist's remedy for urinary infections.

Marshmallow root (Althea Officinalis) — Very soothing properties. It works best if you can get it fresh, (liquidise it with some apple juice) but the dried root also works. Soak it in cold water several hours, then strain and drink.

Buchu — Soothing diuretic and antiseptic for the urinary system. A lot of proprietary 'cures' contain Buchu.

Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense) — An astringent and mild diuretic with healing properties. Again, use as a tea. Don't take too much, as it could leave you feeling sick.

Usnea Lichen — Soothing and antiseptic, this tea can help ease the pain and is said to help heal a damaged bladder lining.

Corn silk (Zea Mays) — Soothing, diuretic. It may help you to pass water, so can be good for damaged kidneys.

Other people have said that a level teaspoon of sodium bicarb in a glass of water can help. Robinsons Lemon Barley water drunk neat, (about 1/2 a pint sipped slowly, then drink polenty of water, eases the symptoms for a lot of people.

You know we just give advice based on our experience, and it's no substitute for a thorough investigation by a competent and caring doctor, if you can find one...
