Healthy Teeth, Xylotene® , Xylitol and D-Xylose

What is Xylotene ?

Xylotene is an advanced formulation produced by Sweet Cures and sold worldwide since 2005. It is a combination of two nutrient sugars, Xylitol and D-Xylose, both exactly as found in nature and produced for Sweet Cures , through traditional fermentation methods. Though both can be found in a range of fruit and vegetables, they are depleted by food processing/manufacturing.

Sweet Cures Xylotene is a pure and naturally acquired combination of the essential glyconutrient d-xylose, and its derivative, xylitol. From our perspective, it is part of our range of sugars that heal and is produced with absolute care and certified contaminant free.

Xylotene can be compared to a vitamin in that taking a little daily has multi-faceted health benefits that accumulate over time. A little, as little as half a teaspoon a day to up to four teaspoons a day is a major addition to any good diet.

Xylotene looks like crystallised table sugar, and it actually tastes sweeter but it is a “good or “essential sugar” and like “essential” and healthy fats, is considered important for our long term health.

Xylitol

You will have noticed Xylitol being used as a sugar substitute in chewing gums, mints and toothpastes. That is because Xylitol has been shown to be effective for oral care being used as a preventative for cavities and tooth decay.

'Xylitol chewing gum reduces the risk of caries in children'. This claim reinforces the unique dental benefits of xylitol as it specifically relates to a disease risk reduction.

European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) upholds Xylitol claim

Xylitol, in sufficient daily amounts is thought to assist the body with remineralisation and provide a support for healthy teeth and bones through increasing the absorption of calcium. It also fights against bacteria that cause decay in saliva. Though it is available in some toothpastes and chewing gums, many of these products do not contain the levels of Xylitol necessary to be truly effective. Xylitol also acts as a prebiotic, encouraging the growth of friendly bacteria in the gut.

D-Xylose

D-xylose stimulates synthesis of Chondroitin Sulphate; a chemical that the body produces naturally to construct cartilage. In osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, the cartilage breaks down; therefore being able to produce Chondroitin Sulphate can slow this process and has been shown to help with joint pain in arthritis. D-Xylose has been shown to increase calcium absorption in the gut and may also help to increase bone density when taken regularly.
Each of these two glyconutrients gives its own health and nutritional benefits.

In combination, bioavailability is increased for both. The result is a sweet-tasting sugar with half the calories of sucrose and multiple health benefits.

How people use Xylotene

healthy teeth - gargle

Xylotene is an excellent mouthwash (diluted with water and rinsed for one minute also can be gargled) as it solves gum problems, improves gum health, treats mouth ulcers and attaches to streptococcus, clearing infection away from the mouth and throat and giving relief quickly to sensitive teeth (in as little as an hour) by covering exposed dentine with fresh enamel. To reap the full potential of Xylotene to remineralise bones and teeth, improve cartilage health and clear any streptococcus infection present in the bladder, many people swallow after rinsing. Others prefer to apply Xylotene dry to painful areas of their mouth (such as mouth ulcers or dry socket for focused, quick relief.

People often use Xylotene as an alternative to sugar in hot drinks, jam making or recipes.

Dosage

One level teaspoon (5g) 2-4 times a day is used for Streptococcus bladder (20g in total), whilst less than a teaspoon daily has multiple benefits.

Warning

Xylotene , like Chocolate, should never be given to dogs or any animals.

Xylitol has been approved for safety by a number of agencies, including the FDA, the World Health Organization and the European Union’s Scientific Committee for Food.

None of the above should be considered medical advice. It is shared information intended to support your overall good health.
